ついにDuoLingoの英語版中国語レッスンも日本語版に続いて終わってしまいました。

DuoLingoに合わせて学習するのによいPodcast
相変わらずDuoLingoで語学学習を続けているのですが・・・日本語版の中国語レッスンが終わったのに続いて、英語版の中国語レッスンも終わってしまいました。
英語版だと主要な言語レッスンのそれぞれのセクションがCEFRに対応しているのですが、中国語はまだソフト面の充実がされていないのかセクションが3つまでで、A1相当で終了です。A1…聞き慣れない言葉ですが、これはCEFRという国際基準だそうです。
CEFRについて
CEFRについての説明をせっかくなのでchatGPTに聞いてみました。こんな感じです。
CEFR（Common European Framework of Reference for Languages）は、言語学習者の言語能力を評価するための国際的な基準です。CEFRはヨーロッパ言語共通参照枠とも呼ばれ、ヨーロッパ評議会によって1990年代に開発されました。この基準は、学習者の言語能力を6つのレベル（A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2）に分類しています。
各レベルの概要
- A1（初心者）: 基本的な日常表現や簡単なフレーズを理解し、使用できる。
- A2（初級）: 簡単な日常会話や基本的な情報をやり取りすることができる。
- B1（中級）: 日常生活や旅行先での会話ができ、簡単な文章を作成できる。
- B2（中上級）: より複雑な文章や技術的な話題について理解し、明確かつ詳細に説明できる。
- C1（上級）: 高度な言語能力を持ち、専門的な話題や学術的な内容についても流暢に話すことができる。
- C2（熟練）: 完全な言語能力を持ち、あらゆる状況で正確かつ流暢に言語を使用できる。
CEFRの利用
CEFRは、教育機関、試験機関、および雇用者によって広く使用されており、言語学習者の能力を評価し、適切な学習プログラムを提供するための基準となっています。例えば、英語の試験であるIELTSやTOEFL、ケンブリッジ英語検定など、多くの国際的な言語試験がCEFRに基づいてスコアを設定しています。
CEFRはまた、学習者が自分の言語能力を自己評価し、目標を設定するためのガイドとしても役立ちます。
・・・ということで、A1は初心者レベル。確かに中国語の基本的な文法や語彙は覚えた気はしますが、NHK World Newsの中国語版を聞いても部分部分しか聞き取れません。特に中国語は語彙の言語だと思うので、DuoLingoが終わったから、といっても全然マスターした感じはないです。
語彙は中国語単語レッスン、みたいなアプリで増やすとか、それこそNHK World Newsのスクリプトを見ながら聞く（なかなかできない）、とかでやっていくしかないですね。あ、どちらにせよ今度はスペイン語版の中国語レッスンはやろうと思っています。中国語レッスンは前に日本語版終了して英語版をやった時に英語版の方で初めて出る語彙があったり、難易度が英語版の方が高いと思ったので。
ヒアリング・リスニング問題
さて、リスニングの部分をどうしようかなぁ、と思ったのですが、Podcastでいいコンテンツをいくつか見つけました。
Language Lerning Acceleraterというシリーズと、Chinese Lessonsです。
基本的に例文＞訳文、の続きの音源になっています。とにかく例文を聞きまくって、追えないところは追えないでもOK、くらいの感じでやるとよさそうです。
Language Lerning Acceleratorはいろんな言語のコンビネーションが山程あるので、その中から英語＞スペイン語とスペイン語＞英語、英語＞イタリア語あたりをチョイスしています。
基本ヨーロッパ系言語中心ですが、Descriptionを読むとこれらの音声はTTS系のものを使って自動生成しているようで、どこかで聞いたような…w
最初はYouTubeでこういった例文集的なのを聞いていたので語学学習コンテンツを自分でつくろう、と思い至るに至ったのですが……ｗ
ポッドキャストアプリの使い分け
ちなみに、普段もっと普通の音声コンテンツ、例えばゆる言語学ラジオとかNHKニュースなどをApple純正のPodcastアプリで聞いていて、それは基本1.5倍速になっています。Apple純正のPodcastアプリは使い出はいいのですが、再生速度をPodcastプログラムごとには設定できません。日本語コンテンツは1.5倍速の方が効率いいのですが、ヒアリングだとちと早すぎ…。
で、別のアプリを探してみました。結局使ってるのはこれ。
Pocket Castsというアプリです。これは番組ごとに再生速度や無音スキップ、音声ブーストや開始終了スキップを設定できます。代わりに新しい番組を見つける、とかになるとまだApple純正のほうがいい感じです。
これに語学学習系をすべて入れておいて、例えばNHK Worldの英語ニュースだったら1.3倍だけど、スペイン語は0.9倍、といった設定が可能。あと助かるのは音声ブースト。Podcastってまだまだノーマライズというか番組によって音量レベルがまちまちで、電車や自転車で周囲の騒音で聞こえなくなる、ということが番組によって起こるのですが、これを軽減してくれます。
これで普段のコンテンツ楽しむ系の番組はApple純正で、語学系はPocket Castsで、という使い分けをしているのですが、スイッチするのが基本面倒。色々試行錯誤して見つけたのがこれ。
ホーム画面を右スライドで出てくるウィジットに、Apple PodcastもPocket Castsも再生ウィジットを置けます。これで語学のときは左を、コンテンツ聞きたい時は右でコントロールするとすぐに切り替わります。
ちょっとそこまで5分歩く、というときは語学にして、通勤のときは右で、みたいな使い分けをしています。
