最近Webをスマホで見るときは大抵起点がAndroidアプリのGoogleになっています。このアプリだと検索して見たい結果がアプリ内ブラウザで開いて、閉じたらまた検索、という形で「ちょっとした調べ物」をするには最適なんですよね。調べた数だけタブが残ってる、という感じにならなくて。そこで気づいたのは、遅いサイトはホント見ない、ってことでした。

No Cache, No Wordperss
使っていれば解ると思いますが、Wordpressはホントに遅いCMSです。遅い文便利というか、便利なために速さをスポイルしてる所があります。
何らかのキャッシュを入れて早く表示させないと、Googleアプリであっさり「×」ボタンを押されるだけになっちゃいます。
なのでキャッシュをいかにして導入するか、という方法を。
Nginx利用
このサイトはHTTPサーバがnginxで、そこでキャッシュ管理しています。設定がちょっとややっこしいのと、共用サーバの場合おいそれと使えないデメリットはありますが、環境さえ用意できればこれが一番便利です。
プラグインのキャッシュ
一番導入しやすいのはWordpressのプラグインでキャッシュを入れる方法だと思います。
ところがこのキャッシュ系プラグインは結構セキュリティホールを狙われるので、選定が大事。
よく使われているキャッシュ系プラグインでW3 Total Cacheがありますが、高機能はいいんですが、まれにセキュリティの問題が出たりするのであまり使った事はありません。

今は使っていませんが、よく使っていたのはWP Super Cacheでした。設定が簡単なのがおすすめ。

キャッシュプラグインって要はキャッシュして高速表示してくれればいいわけで、あまり機能的に高いものを求めなくても・・・と思います。
あと、DB Cacheとかなんとかキャッシュ、とか、多重でセットアップするのもやってみましたが、プラグインが増えれば増えるほどパフォーマンスが悪くなるのがWordPressなのであまりオススメしません。
