三井住友カードNL(ナンバーレス)の再発行が爆速で助かった件
最近ちょくちょく出ているクレジットカードなのに券面に番号がない、いわゆるナンバーレスカード。僕は三井住友カードのNL(ナンバーレス)のゴールドを使っているのですが、今回夏休みの旅行でフィッシングに引っ掛かり、そこからの復旧がナンバーレスで超助かった、という話。
フィッシングのくだりは長いので割愛しますが、結果的に三井住友カードに連絡を入れ、不正利用補償と同時に利用カードの停止、クレジットカード再発行をお願いすることになりました。
ナンバーレスカードとは？
三井住友カードではNLと略していますがナンバーレスカード、というのは券面にカード番号がないカードです。じゃぁカード番号をどうやって知るの？というと、三井住友カードのVpassというアプリで確認します。
アプリ画面からカード番号をコピーできたりするので、スマホでオンライン申し込みをする時などは超便利です。（とはいえカード番号のコピペ防止をするサイトやアプリも増えてきました。PayPalとか）
現物のカードはICタグと磁気ストライプがついていて、対面で決済するときは問題なく使えますが、番号や有効期限、CVV（セキュリティコード）はどこにもありません。ひと昔前のカーボン転写型の決済にはエンボスの番号もないので使えないです。まぁほぼ見ないですが。
ナンバーレスカードのもう1つのメリット
さて、このナンバーレスカードにはもう1つメリットがあります。それは、
再発行がアプリ上では早い
ことです。
今回不正利用が分かって、日曜日に三井住友カードに連絡して、その時点でクレジットカードは停止されました。その時に新しいカード番号の発番には2営業日かかります、と言われていたのですが、実際には火曜日朝にはアプリ上で新しい番号が表示されました。実質1営業日です。
現物のカードは普通郵便で送られてくるのですが、これが大体1週間とのこと。
このオンライン決済中心の時代に何が困るか、というと、いろんなところにカード番号を登録しないといけないことです。iPhoneのApple Payやら、Apple IDの決済、G Pay、PayPal・・・Amazonや楽天もそうですよね。
その登録には極論、カード番号と有効期限、CVVが分かれば充分なので、できるだけ早く新しい番号を知りたい。それがアプリ上で中1日のダウンタイムで復旧できる、というのはすごく助かります。すでに主要なところはカード番号の再登録を完了しました。
しばらくはメインじゃないカードを使ったり、PayPayとかでしのがないといけないのかなー、と思っていたのですごく助かりました。
三井住友銀行のOlive
別途、SMBCで激押ししているOliveというカードがあります。銀行口座と連携できて、三井住友カードとも連携できて、支払いを統合的に管理できます、というカードなのですが、いまひとつメリットが分からなかったです。ちなみにこちらもナンバーレスカード。
これと三井住友カードを連携させると、別のカード番号だけど実際の決済は指定したカードに、というエイリアスのような使い方ができます。とはいえ今ひとつ利用用途がイメージできませんでした。
今回気づいたのが、クレジットカード払いで重要なものの1つに、ライフライン系、電気・ガス・水道があって、これらもカード番号が変わったことで再登録になる、という点。
きちっと再登録すれば新しいカードで決済されると思いますが、こういった会社は手続きも時間がかかったりするので、タイミングによっては間に合わずで払込用紙が送られてくる可能性もあります。
そこで、このOliveをライフライン系（というか手続き遅そう系）に登録して、新しく発番したNLカードと連携させてそれ以外で一切使わないようにしておけば、万が一これから先同様にフィッシングや不正利用があったとしても、Oliveアプリ側で登録を変更すれば決済は止まらないんじゃないか？と思いました。
ということで、これは実行しようと思います。
PayPalも同様の機能を実現できる（支払いをPayPalで登録しておけば、支払いのカードをいつでも変更できる）ので、G Payなんかはこうやっています。

最後に参考までに今回ぱぱっとチェックリスト化した支払先一覧を記載しておきます。とはいえこれは人によって随分変わるとは思うので、あくまでカード再発行になったときの参考程度かと思います。
