前回のFritz Hansenのスーパー楕円テーブルに続き、今度はハーマン・ミラーのイームズシェルチェアをまた中古で買いました。中古と言いながら状態めちゃくちゃ良かったです。

Herman Millerのイームズシェルチェア、中古購入
前回のフリッツ・ハンセンのスーパー楕円テーブルはこちらをご覧ください。
ここでは記載してなかったのですが、スーパー楕円テーブル、今回のイームズシェルチェア、どちらもオフィスバスターズで購入しています。前記事では「引っ越しが落ち着いたら今度はシェルチェアを買おうと思っていますが、そちらはこういうリプロダクトを1度ためそうと思います。」と書いていましたが、結局真正品を買いました。リプロダクトのそこそこ状態が良さそうなものと今回の中古の価格が3倍もなかったので。
購入はオフィスバスターズ

このオフィスバスターズは、オフィス家具の買い取りと販売をやっているお店。実はデザイナーズ家具などは会社のオフィスで使われることは特に最近多いので、移転などでリース落ちや買い取りでいろんな状態のものが販売されています。
そしてこういうデザイナーズ家具などでは重要なこと・・・それは一応オフィス購入経由で市場に出回っているものなので、オークションなどで買うよりニセモノを掴まされるリスクは低いであろう、という点。法人向けに販売するのにニセモノを売るのはリスク高すぎます。それがオフィス移転などで買い取りに回ってくる、ということはあとは状態だけ気にしていればいいわけです。
イームズのシェルチェア、といえばデザイナーズ家具のチェア部門？で言えば超メジャー中のメジャー。

中古デザイナーズ家具の状態について
上のVANILLAの記事を参考にしながらオフィスバスターズで探すと、2万しない価格で「状態A」「傷・変色ほぼなし」という状態の良い物があったのでこちらに決めました。
中古というと状態が気になりますが・・・今回のシェルチェアで言えば・・・
ほぼ新品状態、買って座れば結局中古、価格の差は4万円。
これに尽きます。
前回のスーパー楕円テーブルの方がまだ傷などは多いくらい。どちらも大体定価の3割で買えてるので全然御の字ですね。
これがシェルチェア底部。ハーマン・ミラー製。2010年製のようです。
脚部もクローズアップ。足はウッドになっているタイプを選択しました。木の表面がほとんど無傷なのが見えると思います。ボルトの部分だけ開け閉めした痕がありますね。明らかに経年変化の痕があるのはこの辺くらい。
わかりにくいですが座面です。こういう素材のものは傷が入るとなかなか消えませんが、そもそも傷がほとんどない感じ。
これで2万円で買えるなら、7000円くらいのリプロダクトを買う理由が全然ない、と思ったので購入したわけです。
