天皇陛下、大統領閣下・・・と、「〇下」という敬称にどんなのがあるか調べてみました。

陛下・殿下・閣下・・・「何とか下」の呼び方はいくつある？
今年は令和元年、ということで天皇陛下の「陛下」という言葉を聞く回数も多いですね。トランプ大統領訪日中ですが逆に「大統領閣下」はあまり・・・。
こういう「〇下」という敬称って他にどんなのがあるのかな、と思って調べてみました。
陛下
今上天皇の敬称「陛下」。陛下の「陛」は宮殿の階段、という意味だそうです。その下に控える、という意味で敬う呼称になったそう。
基本的には皇帝・天皇・国王に対して使う敬称、ということです。今回退位された上皇さまも敬称は陛下だと皇室典範で定められているそう。
英語ではImperial Majesty、国王の場合はRoyal Majesty。
殿下
日本の場合は天皇陛下（と上皇陛下）以外の皇族の方に使われる殿下。この殿も殿舎からきているそうです。陛下より下、閣下より上の位置づけ。
皇位継承順位第1位の秋篠宮殿下に使われたりしていますね。
英語はImperial Highness、Royal Highness。
閣下
閣下、と言われるとデーモン小暮閣下かも、ですが、対象としては君主以外の国家元首や閣僚、大使、貴族などに使われるそうです。
安倍首相とかも敬称ありだと安倍首相閣下、なんですね。軍隊においては将官に対する敬称だそう。
英語はExcellency。
聖下・猊下
「せいか」「げいか」と読みます。聖下は比較的最近日本語は出来たそうで、ローマ教皇や正教会総主教などへの敬称。英語のHolinessに対応する言葉です。猊下はダライ・ラマ法王や僧正などにも使われ、キリスト教では枢機卿などに使われるそう。
台下
「だいか」だそうで、台は高楼を意味します。高い位の聖職者に使われるそうです。
座下
正教会の総主教以外の主教に使われる敬称。「ざか」。
貴下
手紙などで使われる自分より目下の人に使われる敬称だそうです。
またお隣朝鮮では「邸下（ていか）」という呼び名もあったそう。
ということで、色々な呼び方があるんですね。
