先日のフライトでJTの嗅ぎタバコ「SNUS(スヌース)」が大活躍でした。

JTの嗅ぎタバコ「SNUS(スヌース)」が飛行機で大活躍。
書くの忘れてましたが、先日のフライトでJTの嗅ぎタバコ「SNUS(スヌース)」にかなり助けられました。

機内でも吸える？嗅ぎタバコのスヌース
このスヌースがなんで「嗅ぎ」タバコなのかはいまだにわからないのですが、まぁ袋を口に含んでニコチンを摂取するタイプのJT曰く「無煙タバコ」なのがスヌースです。
火を使わないので当然どこでも吸えます。実際にどこで活躍したか、という所を書き出してみますね。
フライト中
喫煙者の方しかわからないと思いますが、飛行機の搭乗は「吸いたい」という気持ちとの闘いな訳です。大抵の喫煙者はフライト前に「一服」してから搭乗すると思います。あとは到着するまでなるべくタバコのことを考えないようにするわけです。
けれど到着して飛行機降りたらもう吸う事しか考えてない・・・というのもオーバーですが、そんな感じだと思います。ところがスヌースだと・・・？
搭乗してシートベルト締めてからでも吸えます。
吸えます、というか口に含めます。
タバコを吸ってる、というか・・・染み出るニコチンを摂取する感じですが、これでかなり「吸いたい感」は抑えられます。我慢しなくてもいい、思えるだけでもかなり心情的に楽です。
成田からバンコクのフライトは7時間弱とそこそこ長いフライトなのですが、全然大丈夫でした。喫煙者は長いフライトは反射的にいやだな、と思いますが、全然耐えられます。
ドンムアン空港で
バンコクはドンムアン空港だったのですが、実はそこから4時間のトランジットを経て、そのままヤンゴンへのフライトでした。タイの空港は今年2月から完全禁煙で、特に保安区域内には喫煙所はありません。
とはいえ外に出ればちゃんと公式の喫煙所が用意されてはいます。
ところが・・・この時のフライトはタイへの入国をしないので外に出ることも出来ません。タバコを吸うためにだけに4時間で入国してまた出国する・・・というのも微妙だなぁ・・・と。
結局ラウンジをハシゴして時間をつぶしたのですが、その間もスヌースでごまかしました。なので結局10時間以上スヌースで持たせた感じです。
スヌースを口に含んだままでもお酒を飲んだりできるので、そんなに大変ではなかったです。
他に使えそうなところ
ということで、長い時間タバコが吸えない時にスヌースは便利です。他に使えそうなところとしては、長距離の電車だったりバスだったり。新幹線は北陸新幹線など東海道新幹線以外は完全禁煙なのでそういう時にも使えそう。
また仕事や長いミーティングとかでも使えそうな気がします。
一つ気になっているのは、シンガポールみたいにタバコの課税が超厳しい所にスヌースを持ち込んだ時にどういう判断をされるのかな、ということ。タバコなので課税対象なんでしょうね・・・。けど別のパッケージに入れてしまえば漢方薬と言ってもわからない感じなんですよね・・・。
