いつ修正されるか・・・と思っていたiOSのワークアウトの地図経路問題、やっと修正されました。

iOS14.2アプデでワークアウトの地図経路表示が復活！
iPhoneとApple Watchを使ってランニングやサイクリングなどのワークアウトを管理している人も多いと思いますが、Apple Watch6やSE発売と同時に公開されたWatchOS7のアプデあたりから一部、ワークアウトの地図経路が表示されない、消える、という問題がありました。
その後iOSやWatchOS側の何度かのアップデートがあったのですが、それでも修正されず。Appleのコミュニティでもかなりの質問が出る事態に。
一部で有効とされていた対処法としては、Apple Watchの再ペアリング、それで駄目ならiPhone側のリセット・再セットアップ、というなかなかハードルの高いものでした。
僕もApple Watchの再ペアリングはやりましたがさすがにiPhone側のリセットは・・・という状態でした。
Apple Watch、7.0.2にアプデしてさらにペアリングやり直したけど、ワークアウトで移動経路が表示されないバグが直ってない…

ここ数日そこそこの距離をサイクリングしたのに、ワークアウト記録を見ても経路が表示されていなくてね……ちょっと切ないの……頑張ったのに……。

iOS14.2アップデートが公開
11月に入ってiOSの14.2が公開されました。前回のアプデでもワークアウトの地図問題は修正されていなかったので、ダメ元で試してみましたが・・・
なんと！過去のものも含めて復活しました！
AppleWatchのワークアウト経路がちゃんとiPhoneで表示されました。めでたしめでたし。

iOS14.2にアプデしたら、Apple Watchのワークアウトで記録した移動経路の表示が直った！ 前にうっかり初期化したから、昔のデータが消えたのは痛いけど。

何が原因だったかわかりませんが、やはり根本的にOS側で対処できる問題だったんですね。
ちなみにこの問題、ある時期の時点で僕はそうそうにあきらめて、自転車についてはサイコン（サイクルコンピュータ）を入れて、それとSTRAVAで見る、というのに変えてしまっていたので重要度は下がっていたのですが、それでもウォーキングとかもこれで見れるのは助かります。
細かく見ていると過去の記録で戻っていないものもあるようで、全てがすべて復活する感じでもなさそうです。
また別途僕は心拍数モニタに特化したZonesというアプリも使っているので、こちらからのワークアウトがどうなるかも見てみたいところです。
