Googleマップに新機能！周辺イベントやお店を色々提案してくれます。
もうスマホに必須のアプリのうちの1つと言えるGoogleマップ。単純な地図アプリだけではなく、各スポットの営業時間などのプロフィールや口コミなども集約し、ちょっとお出かけする時にも必須のアプリとなっています。
そんなGoogleマップにまた新しい機能が付きました。周辺スポットをいろんな角度からオススメしてくれる、というもの。
進化した周辺スポット検索機能
周辺のスポットの検索機能は以前からありました。それはどちらかというと「レストラン」や「ホテル」など、マップで表示された周辺の一括検索機能でした。
新しく追加された機能は、指定した地域のイベントや店舗を色んな角度から提案してくれる機能です。実際どんな感じかをちょっと見てみます。
とりあえず千代田区の皇居あたりで検索を開始してみます。
下のアイコンから「周辺のスポット」を選択すると、レストラン・お弁当・観光スポット、といったカテゴリのボタンが表示されます。これは今まであった機能ですね。
周辺の開催イベントもお知らせ
その周辺のスポットの下を見てみると・・・その辺りのイベントが表示。湯島天神の文京梅まつりが2/8〜3/8まで開催されているのが分かりますね。このイベント機能はありがたいですね。休日にどこに行こうか、という時に、行きたい場所からイベントを探すことが可能です。地域先行で探しているので新しい発見があること間違いなし、って感じですね。
さらにスクロールすると、付近一帯で人気急上昇のお店などが見れるようです。それ意外にも「東京の高級鉄板焼きレストラン」「東京で最高の料理が味わえるレストラン」など、どっかのグルメサイトの特集見出しのようなのも見えますね。
人気急上昇店を提案
こちらが「ここ1週間の人気急上昇店」。フォローして継続的に情報を受け取ることも可能です。さらにその下に見えている「25か所中0か所を訪問しました」という所が・・・なんか燃えますね。制覇していくとバーが伸びるんでしょうか・・・。
ここ1週間の人気急上昇店の中にロイヤルホストがありました。銀座とはいえファミレス・・・これがどうして人気急上昇・・・？中を見てみましょう。
こちらがロイヤルホスト 銀座インズ店。おすすめ度が？になっているのはどうしてなんでしょうか？調べてみると去年の11月に新しくできたお店のようですね。なので人気急上昇なんでしょう。
レビューを見てみるとこちらのロイホはタブレットで注文できるようですね。
「行きたい場所」のきっかけづくりや新規出店情報も
それ以外にもなぜか台湾の鼎泰豊の最新情報が出てきたり・・・。前に台北に行った時に「行きたい場所」としてマークしていたのと、下に見えるグルメ記事が出たのとでレコメンデーションになったようです。この例はたまたま台北ですが、近所のお店を「行きたい場所」としてチェックしておいて、記事で取り上げられた、などでおすすめされたりすると俄然行く気になりますね。
またこういった形で新規オープンのお店もちゃんと出してくれます。こういう機能は食事場所を探すきっかけとしてありがたいですね。
