僕がブルベでどんなふうにルートマップを活用しているか、をまとめました。

ブルベのルートマップアプリの活用
2022年に200、300、400のブルベを完走しました。ライド中に実際に使っているルートマップについてまとめてみます。今年走ったブルベのエントリはこちら。
使っているマップアプリ
ほとんどのブルベ参加者は印刷したキューシートを使われていると思いますが、僕は実は全く使いません。キューシートは大抵ExcelかGoogleドキュメントで提供されますが、iPhoneのExcelに読み込ませるだけ。キューシートの注釈をどうしても確認したいときくらいにしか使いません。
その反面、僕はロングライドでも25キロごとで休憩を取るので、キューシートには載っていないルート上のコンビニがどこにあるか、はすごく重要な情報です。なので公開されたルートにコンビニの場所をどんどんマークしていきます。
その際に使っているアプリはRide with GPS、Garmin Connect、そしてGoogleマップです。先日の諏訪400のマップで説明していきます。
Ride with GPS (RWGPS)
走行中一番頼りにしているアプリ。基本的な編集はこれでやります。サブスクリプションはAppStoreでのものなのでPCでPOIなどの編集ができないのがネックです。
ほとんどのブルベではRWGPSでのコース共有がされているので、まずこれを読み込んでピン止めします。この時に最終更新日だけは確認しておきます。そこから自分用にマップを新規保存してチマチマと編集します。
実際に使ったマップはこれです。自分でしか使わないので公開はしていません。これを拡大して距離マーカーを見ながら大体25キロごと、CPがコンビニだったりするとそこから＋25キロ、という感じでマークしていきます。レストランぽいマークはコンビニです。諏訪400ではコンビニが全くない空白地帯があったので、もしかしたら補給できるかも、という個人商店などを別のマークで一応いれました。
最終的にマップが出来上がったらオフラインで使えるようにしておきます。といいながら諏訪400ではオンラインの方のマップをスタートさせる、という痛いミスが発生しました。残念。
Garmin Connect
諏訪400で初めて意図的に使ったGarminのマップ。都筑200の時にモバイルバッテリーがなくなり、事前にRWGPS ConnectでEdge 530に読み込ませておいたマップでしのいだ、というのはありましたが、そのマップにはマークがなかったのでPCについてはブルベカードの距離を参考に走ったりしていました。
諏訪400の時は、RWGPSのサイトからGPXをPOI付きでダウンロードし、それをWeb版のGarmin Connectで読み込ませる、という方法を取りました。とはいえ、Garminのマップのマークは全て道路に関連付けられないといけないため、一部情報が欠損していたのでその部分はスマホ側のアプリで編集しました。
こちらが実際のマップ。獲得標高がRWGPSと全然違う・・・。とにかくGarmin側にもマップを入れておくことでバックアップにもなるし、クライムの情報が出るClimbProはルート設定時のみの機能。
ブルベスタート時にルートをスタートさせてその後計測させるのを忘れずに。（Garminはルート呼び出しをしてルートを起動し、計測は計測でスタートさせる必要があります）
Googleマップ
RWGPSのサイトでGPXを書き出す、というのがありましたが、それをGoogleマップのマイマップにも読み込みます。Googleマップはライド中は使わないですが、事前準備の時に大活躍します。
RWGPSやGarmin Connectで沿道のコンビニを探すのは結構大変、というか、ルート編集中は検索できないので、こちらのマップで検索をして場所のあたりを付けます。次回600のホテル探しもこの方法でやっています。
諏訪400のマップでコンビニ検索をしたところ。コンビニ空白地帯がある場合、ルートから少し離れた所のコンビニもこの方法なら探せますし、ホテルとかはこうせざるを得ないと思います。
諏訪400ではクリートのネジ脱落があったのですが、走りながら「11時以降にルート近くのサイクルベースあさひとかに寄る・・・？」とか考えてましたが、このマップだとルート近くの自転車店なども探すのは簡単です。
準備が大事なブルベ
ブルベはほんとに事前準備が大事で、またその作業も楽しいのですが、ルートマップについてはこんなふうに準備しています。参考になれば。
