旅行携行用の充電器具で新たにこれはいいんじゃない？というのが出てきました。

PD充電対応電源タップが旅行携帯にいいかもしれない。
色んなガジェットを使うようになってくると、国内・海外問わず旅行・出張時に重要なのが充電周りの機器ですね。これまで長い間Ankerの4ポート充電器を愛用してきました。
この記事でちびファイの横に刺さっているのがAnkerの充電器です。ちびファイとセットで小袋に入れていて、旅行の時はスーツケースなどにそのまま突っ込みます。記事が2017年なのでもう2年以上このセットなわけです。
ところがAmazonでたまたま見つけたPD充電対応の電源タップがなかなかいい感じでこちらに移行したほうが良さそうな気がしてきました。

見つけたのがこれです。
商品名タイトルの長さが怪しさを倍増させていますが・・・これがいい感じです。思いついたメリットを列記してみますね。
コンセントケーブルが折り畳めてコンパクト
この電源タップに電源供給するためのケーブルが、本体に格納出来るようになっています。つまり変な出っ張りが基本なし。またケーブルになっていることで、本体スペースが他のコンセントを塞いだりしないようになっています。これはマル。現状だとコンセントのスペースが狭い時用に短めの延長ケーブルを携行してたりするくらいなので。
本体にコンセントが3口
どうでも良さそうなこの通常のACコンセントですが、このタップについている事で海外ではすごいメリットがあります。大分減りましたが海外ではホテルの電源がプラグ変換器が必要な事があります。直近だとシンガポールのホテルで必要でした。
そのために海外旅行だと変換プラグも携行する人もいると思いますが、このタップと組み合わせれば1つ変換すると日本用プラグが3つ使える、ということになります。(1口は裏面にあります)
これはすごいメリットだと思います。充電器そのもの以外の携行品を減らす効果があるってスゴイ。
PD3.0対応1ポートを含む4ポート
USB-CのPD3.0対応とのことですが、これは助かります。最近のガジェットはスマホもそうですが、カメラやGoProなどのビデオカメラなどもUSB-Cが増えている＆消費電力が高めなので。
PDだとその充電時間が短縮されるので、結果的に早く使えます。滞在時間に限りのある旅行の場合、急速充電は正義ですね。GoProなんかバッテリー消費速いので助かります。
ちなみにPD充電は対応していないiPhone7でも充電が速かったのでホント便利。そのほかのUSB充電もSmart ICとのことなので一応速いんでしょうね。
それら合計で4ポート。1人でも寝ている間に充電しておきたければこれくらいは必要だと思います。僕の場合は・・・iPhoneが2つ、カメラ、GoPro、Apple Watchと4つでも足りないです。Osmo Pocketも増えたので今後もっと厳しいですが、PD充電でGoProとOsmoを回すと寝る前に1つ、寝ている間に1つ、という感じで充電できそう。
実は旧バージョンを持ってる
というメリット満載のこの電源タップですが、1つ気になるのは品質的な所。すぐ使えなくなるんじゃないか、とか・・・。
実は、同じメーカーのUSB充電部分がPD1つとUSB1つの旧バージョンっぽいのを持っていて使っています。仕事で必要だったのでAmazonタイムセールで安かったのをノリでポチりました。そして届いてからUSB4つのバージョンを見つけた感じなんですね・・・。
旧バージョンは1ヶ月以上使っていますが特に問題はなし。PD充電もちゃんと速いです。なのであとはこの新型を買うだけなんですが、なまじ持っているので買いづらい・・・というのが実情だったりします。
とはいえ2つのやつは旅行用とかで考えるとあまりメリットがないので・・・どこかで思い切って買うことになるんだろうなぁ・・・と思いながらとりあえずAmazonの欲しい物リストに入れています。タイムセールとかだと確実に買いそうですね。
冒頭の昔の記事のちびファイは今も変わらずオススメです。
