DAHON K3その後の感想
数回乗ってみましたがなかなか不思議な自転車ですね。細かいパーツを今つけている途中ですが、乗りながら思ったことをいくつか。
ラチェット音が特殊
一部のロードバイクを除いてラチェット音ってあんまりしないイメージなんですが、DAHON K3は「ジーーッ」とそこそこラチェット音がします。ラチェット音多めのロードバイクみたいな、あぁいう「どけどけ」感はないのですが、無音とは言えないくらいの音量です。前に歩いている人はまぁ気づきそうなくらいのボリューム。
14インチの小さいタイヤからジーーッ、ってなるのは不思議な感覚ですね。
ちょっと前傾めでかなり走る
他でも言われていることですが、DAHON K3はハンドルの高さ調整がないのでちょっと前傾ぎみになるポジションです。ということは重心前目になるのでフラットハンドルのスポンジグリップだとやはりきつそう。ということでちょっとエルゴ的なグリップに変えました。スポンジグリップは気合で回して取れました。
走りについては3速ですが、それぞれめちゃ軽・まぁ軽・ちょい重、といった構成になっていて、ちょい重だとかなりスピードが出ます。なんていうんでしょう・・・この自転車一台だけ所有だと色々速くするカスタムしたいと思いますが、セカンドバイクだと「あ、これでいいや」と思えるレベルのスピードです。
パーツはゴテゴテつけない方向で
持ってる自転車はほぼ全て、ライト・ディレイラーガード・ライト・スマホホルダーあたりに加えて、モバブーやツールをいれるサドルバッグ的なものや、予備チューブをいれるオプションバッグ的なものをつけています。
けどDAHON K3の場合、タイヤ交換もかなり面倒そうですし、最悪折りたたんでタクシーに乗せる、とかの方が合理的な気がするので、あまりパーツをゴテゴテつけない方向で考えています。
また折りたたみできて軽いことが最大のメリットなので、ハンドル周りも極力つけるものを減らす方向です。折りたたみの時にパーツが原因で畳みきれないのが問題だと思いました。
サイコンもアームが伸びるタイプのやつはやめて、ハンドルに直接Garminマウントがついてるようなものを発注しています。ライトは前輪フォークにつけようかと。バッグは別途持ってたChromeのバッグを必要に応じてつける形にしようと思っています。
ベルもちょっと小さめのに変えたいなぁ。あ、ディレイラーガードは通常のアスクルにつけるのではなく、フレームにネジ2本でつけるやつにしたらぴったりでした。
