ハンドルバーに色々付けたい人にCanyonは厳しいかも。

Canyonカーボンハンドルとinsta360 one X2と戯れる日々。
今乗っているCanyon Ultimateは基本なんの不満もないのですが、1点だけ、他のロードバイクと大きく違うところがあります。それがハンドルまわり。
僕のUltimateはハンドルバーはステム一体型のCP10というモデルが付いているのですが、エアロハンドルバーでカーボンなのでいわゆる一般的なアルミハンドルにクランプするようなタイプのマウントは怖くて付けられません。
ならハンドルとステムを変えてしまえば、と思う向きもありますが、フロントコラムの径がメジャーではないスーパーオーバーサイズ、1-1/4となっています。一般的なオーバーサイズ、1-1/8ならステムの選択肢は中華カーボンステム含めて膨大にあるのですが、スーパーオーバーサイズの時点でかなり狭まります。
またそこまでしてやりたいことがinsta360をポールで立てて付けたい、とかなので、ちょっと本筋外れすぎな感じもします。
要はこんなことをして走行中の自分のフォームを見たいだけなんです。
実現のためにはハンドルバーにカメラネジマウントをクランプして、insta360の伸縮ポールをつなげ、先にinsta360を付けて走る、というシンプルなものです。
が、まずハンドルバーへのマウントクランプが怖い上にエアロハンドルなのでハマるものがあまりない。
さらに付いたとしてもその先にバーとカメラ本体がつくので慣性や振動の負荷がマトモにクランプ部分にかかる、というのが問題でした。
insta360側ではニーズは察知している
思っているのとは角度が違うのですが、insta360からはこういった第三者視点自転車用ハンドルバーマウント、というものを出していたりします。これは真正面にinsta360を付けるので、ロードバイク正面から視点の先までの360度を動画撮影できる、というものですね。
ところが・・・これもエアロハンドルなどの変形ハンドルは非対応です。insta360側はこの手のニーズがあるのはわかっているのですが、エアロハンドルバーまでは手が回らない、という感じだと思います。
自作して失敗して自作して・・・
最初はハンドルバーになんとかつかないか、ということで、OlightのライトマウントやCateyeのブラケットを付けたりしていました。Olightのライトマウントはラバーバンドで固定するGarminマウントなので、これでエアロハンドルバーに付けるとGarminマウント＋カメラネジのパーツでバーに何かが取り付けられるようにはなります。
Cateyeのブラケットも同様にフレックスタイトで比較的カーボンに負担なく固定できそうだったので試してみましたが・・・これもだめ。
じゃぁハンドルバーからビス止めしているサイコンマウンターのGarminマウントを流用するのはどうだろう？というのをやってみたり。こんな感じですね。
これをやっている間は右のOlightマウントにサイコンを逃がす感じです。
それもこれも色々やってみましたが、結局Garminマウント部分が弱点になってしまいました。ここはねじ込んで固定する仕様なのでどうしても樹脂パーツになってしまい、これが振動で割れてしまいます。
写真のようにinsta360 One X2を伸ばさずに付ける、くらいだとある程度耐えてくれますが、それでも段差でマウントベースが割れました。やはりジョイント部分はウィークポイントになりますね。
色々やりすぎてある日ステー自体も割れました。まぁ形状的に弱い感じのものだったのですが。
クランプ型のカメラネジマウントも試しましたが、大抵カメラネジの土台部分、自由雲台みたいなところが大きな慣性には全く耐えられなくてこれも無し。
そもそもCanyonの一体型エアロハンドルバーの場合、バーへのクランプをしない場合はハンドル下部に容易されているマウンター用のネジ穴を固定するポイントとして使うしかなさそうです。
GoProマウントをこねくり回す
とにかくGarminマウントを使って、というのは無理筋だというのは確定したので、今度はサイコンマウントの裏側についているGoProマウントを拡張して使う方向で考えました。
Canyon用のサイコンマウントについているGoProマウントは1つだけ。けどライトはやはり吊り下げにしたいし、そこに軽いバーを付けてinsta360を付けるしかない。ということで導入したのがこれ。
縦配置のデュアルマウント。上側はサイコンマウントにつけて、奥側にライト、手前側にバーを付ける、という考え方です。
そしてバーも見つけました。
かなり肉抜きされたGoPro延長用アダプタです。通常のバーや自撮り棒が100g超えなのに対し、このアダプタは18センチ長で25g。insta360自体も150gあるので極力マウント部分にかかる重量を下げる形です。
前方からはこんな感じ。
当初やりたかったこととは違う方向になっていますが、ここまで来ると意地ですね・・・ｗ
何度かテストランしていますが、接合部のトルクをあげてしっかり固定するとサイコンマウント自体はそれほど揺れない≒折れにくい感じにはなってきました。これでしばらく試してみようと思います。
