Googleの各サービスがGoogle検索へのSEOを意識しているかも。

Googleが自社SEOを意識してるかも？
言わずとしれたインターネット検索のデファクトスタンダードのGoogle。ネットサービスだと完全に無視するわけにはいかないサイトなわけですが・・・それ以外にも数あるGoogleのサービスが自社であるGoogle検索のSEOを意識してURLを変えているかもしれません。
Google各サービスがサブドメインからサブディレクトリへ
ふとそう思ったのが、僕がGoogleのサービスの中でもよく使う、GoogleマップとGoogleトラベル（Google旅行やGoogleフライト）のURLを見た時。
Googleマップはこれまでmaps.google.com/maps.google.co.jpのサブドメインだったのですが、現在ではそれらがgoogle.com/mapsやgoogle.co.jp/mapsのサブディレクトリの運用に変更されています。
これらのURLをクリックするとサブドメインからリダイレクトされるのが分かると思います。
別サービスの運用については基本サブドメインの方が楽といえば楽ですが、技術のGoogleからすれば別にサブディレクトリでもどっちでもそう大差はありません。というかサブディレクトリの方がスケールメリットがあるかも知れないですね。
少し前にアプリが廃止されたGoogle TripsあらためGoogleトラベル・・・といってもあまり馴染みがないですが、いわゆるGoogleフライトを始めとした旅行系機能サービスをまとめたところのURLもtravel.google.comからgoogle.com/travelに変更されています。
これって・・・それぞれのサービスが対象となるキーワード、地図やmaps、旅行やtravel、flightで検索上位にいくための布石では？と思ったわけです。個別のサブドメインは新規のものもあれば昔からあるものもありますが、google.comについてはGoogle検索が始まったときからあるので、当然一番有利なドメインです。
この下にサービスを集めることで結果的に各サービスの検索順位での上昇を狙ってるのでは・・・？と思いました。
wwwも無くなる方向に？
さらに1つ気になったのは、こういったサービスがリダイレクトされる先のgoogle.comドメインがすべてwww.無しのgoogle.com/google.co.jpなところです。Webが一般的になる前は、World Wide Webの略として、ホスト名部分をwww.（とかw3とか）にしていたのが名残としてずっと続いているわけですが、個人的にはもうwww.なんていらないでしょ派です。
ドメイン名のデザインをするにもwww.が常に付くというの制約になりますし、前々からいらないと思っていたのですが、Googleもそうなのかなぁ？と思ったりしました。
