iPhone48年ロックで指摘されていない事
いろんなメディアでこのiPhone48年ロックは記事になっていますねー。

そう、他人事の記事としては面白いとは思いました。
なので各メディアも取り上げたんだと思います。
けど・・・48年ロック解除出来ない、というのは、製品として48年の間使えない、ということでもあります。記事を読んだ感想に近いな、と思ったのがこのツイート。

セキュリティとして考えた場合はロックの上限を1時間にしてしまう、というのも短いかも？と思える部分もありますが、上限ナシの青天井、というのも考えものです。
実際記事ではもっと長い時間ロックされたiPhoneが修理に持ち込まれたことがある、という話も。
そしてこの長期間ロックの解除方法はリセットしかないそうで、Apple Storeでも直せないとのことですが・・・iPhoneっていろんなキャリアで複数年分割契約やってましたよね。日本なんかはau用に確か別バージョンの端末を用意してたとか、商売としてはそういう分割契約を前提に作っているわけです。
その期間を超えるロックが出来てしまう、というのは・・・ちょっと思想がズレてる感じがするんですが。ま、リセットすれば・・・という話ではあるんですが、それが今回の記事のような子供のいたずらが原因だと割り切れないものが残ると思います。
記事によっては「こうなっても大丈夫なようにiCloudにバックアップを」と謳うものもありますが、自衛策として備えるのは個人の裁量ですが、48年ロックになっても大丈夫なように有償サービスを申し込む、というのはユーザー体験としては最低の部類なわけです。
少なくとも誤操作によるロックの最大上限時間を設けるか、公式プロバイダでのロック解除が出来るかなりの救済策がないまま、普通に販売している、というのはすごく違和感がありました。けどその点を指摘してる記事はあまり見てない気が・・・。
例えは悪いですが、自動車のエアバッグが衝撃で開いたらもう交換しても元に戻らないので車を買い替えてください、と言われたら、というのとちょっと似た無茶っぷりかなぁ。
