子供にYouTuberを目指して欲しくない、気持ちは分かるけど・・・

日刊SPA!の記事でこういう記事が紹介されていました。

「子どもになってほしくない職業」の1位はぶっちぎりでYouTuber　その理由とは？ | 日刊SPA!

小学生でもなりたい職業上位に入ってくるYouTuber、ソニー生命が発表した全国100人の男子中学生でもやはり上位に入ってくるとのこと。

2位　ゲームクリエイター
3位　YouTuber
4位　プロスポーツ選手
5位　エンジニア

1位のITエンジニア・プログラマーと5位のエンジニアとの違いが今ひとつ分かりづらいですが・・・意外にプロスポーツ選手は上位なんですね。そして3位に堂々ランクインがYouTuber。まぁ昔は芸能人やらアイドルやらが上位だったのかな、と思うと、今の小中学生のアイドルはYouTuberだ、という話なので分からない話ではありません。こういうランキングはもう定番化していますが、この記事ではそういう中学生を子に持つ親の意見が反映されています。

親が子供になってほしくない職業

記事で触れられている親側から子供になってほしくない職業では、上の男子中学生のなりたい職業のほとんどが挙げられています。ランキングはこちら。

この他、箇条書きで挙げられている「なってほしくない職業」にはITエンジニアや営業マンなども入っていて、つまりは「子供がなりたい職業はほとんど親がなってほしくない職業」の様相を呈しています。公務員というのは昔は安定しているイメージが先行して、親がなってほしい職業上位だった気がしますが今はそうでもないんですね。

さて、この記事の中で、母親・父親それぞれの「なぜYouTuberになってほしくないのか」という理由が列挙されているのですが・・・これがなかなか気持ち悪い感じでした。
まずは母親編。

「趣味ですることで仕事としては安定性がないから」（32歳・専業主婦）
「安定してない。馬鹿なイメージ。今だけの職業」（32歳・専業主婦）
「子どもはネットに顔を出してほしくないから」（36歳・専業主婦）
「 ネットに動画を流すだけで楽して稼げるなら、何でもアリになるのは悲しいです」（32歳・専業主婦）
「人気が出れば良いが、そんな人はわずか一握り。人気がないと、視聴回数のために馬鹿な動画をアップしそうだから」（36歳・専業主婦）
「安定していない。自分勝手で、自分が大好きな変な人と思われそう」（44歳・パート・アルバイト

安定、というキーワードが結構頻出していますね。
そして父親編。

「一生続けていける仕事ではないから」（32歳・会社員）
「安定しないこと、再生回数を増やすことに夢中になって、物事の判断が鈍ってしまう可能性があることが心配です」（34歳・会社員）
「パソコンに向かってばかりの仕事をしてほしくないから」（36歳・公務員）
「もう少し現実味のある、出来たら誰かの為になるような仕事をしてほしい」（31歳・男性）

ここまでみて、気持ち悪いな、と思ったのが誰も「なれない」とは言っていない事。
唯一「人気が出ればよいが、そんな人はわずか一握り」という所に売れっ子YouTuberになる難易度の理解が垣間見れるだけで、他は安定していない、とか、ある程度稼げる前提になっているわけです。じゃぁ実際稼げてるYouTuberはどれくらいいるんでしたっけ・・・？

こんなサイトがありました。
人気ユーチューバーランキング「チューバータウン」
ユーチューバーの収入ランキングを出しているサイト。おそらく再生回数と登録者数から類推してデータ化しているんだと思います。登録者は11,312人とのことですが、YouTuber自身が登録する形なのでこれが全YouTuber、というわけではないようです。

では・・・とりあえず年収300万以上のYouTuberが何人いるか見てみます。

300万の最後尾はこちらでした。

データをみてみると年収ベースで割り戻して300万、まだ去年の8月からのチャンネル開始なので1年経ってないんですね。これが515位でした。

このサイトの登録者で割合を出すと（推定）年収300万以上のYouTuberは上位4.6%。
また別途こういうデータもあり、ここだとチャンネル数は35,000以上あるようですから、この数値は更に厳しいパーセンテージになるでしょう。

さて。仮に上位5%が正しいとして、世間の世帯年収分布での上位5%っていくらくらいでしょうか。

厚生労働省のデータでこういうのがあります。

このデータの図表の中に世帯所得上位からの割合を表したグラフがあって・・・。

累積で上位5%くらいまで引っ張った所がこんな感じ。日本で普通に働いて世帯収入上位5%に入れば1千万はゆうに超えるのに、日本でYouTuberとして上位5%に入ったところでやっとこ年収300万（推定）。
これって安定とかそういうレベルの話じゃなくって、YouTuberなの？と職業を問われても仕方がないレベルの話な気がします。
プロスポーツ選手なんかは、プロスポーツチームやスポンサードの契約があって初めて「プロスポーツ選手」と言える気がしますが、YouTuberはある意味自己申告で「俺はYouTuberだ！」と言い切ると否定しづらい、という雰囲気も無くはないですが、「職業」として捉えた時にこうなる、って話。
