旅行のお供、スーツケース（トランク）にはいろんなサイズがありますが、どのサイズがいいかの参考に手持ちのスーツケースの利用法を書いてみます。

サイズ別のスーツケースの活用法
スーツケースは古いのから最近のまで都度都度買って気がつくといろんなサイズが手元にあります。それぞれどんな使い方をしているか書いてみますね。
rimowaトローリー29L
写真はrimowaとルフトハンザのコラボでなんかモデルも違うみたいですが、要はこういう形をしたスクエアなケース。
この辺で登場しています。
僕のは大分前に買ったものなので2輪で、容量は29Lとちょっと小ぶりです。これは夏の短期出張とかくらいですかね・・・。
ハンドル部分に固定できるバッグなどと組み合わせて使うことがおおいです。手持ちのバッグが固定できない場合はこういうベルトで固定できたりします。
利点は重量さえクリアできればバッグとこのスーツケースを分離させて飛行機の機内持ち込みができたり、のぞみなどの網棚や場合によっては足元でも簡単に収納出来ること。
階段などにも強いです。けどそれは小ぶりだからでその分荷物は入りません。
実はあまり登場回数が多くないスーツケース。
Tumi 35L
意外に入るTumiのエクスパンダブル（拡張可能）なスーツケースがこちら。
サイズが大体で横33cm×縦49cm×幅21.5～26cm、ということで、広げていない状態であれば機内持ち込みサイズ上限でよくある縦横幅の合計が115センチ、という制限に収まります。
残念ながら重さがかなりある（3.5キロだったかな）ので重量制限の厳しいLCCだと持込手荷物としては厳しいケース。ANAなどのフルサービスキャリアだと10キロとかなのでまぁ普通に使えます。
持ち込みたくなければ預けることもできますし。
実は旅行先で持って行ったトランクが全て重量オーバーになったので慌ててアウトレットで購入した一品。余剰分を全部これに詰め込んで事なきを得たのですが、帰ってきてからも旅行意外でも利用頻度が高いです。
よく使うのは帰省や小旅行で車移動などの時。なんでもかんでもこれに入れるようにすると大体これ1個＋αくらいで荷物が完結するので、例えば近隣のホテルに泊まった時などでも荷物の出し入れで右往左往しなくて良くなったりします。
車のサイズにもよりますが、助手席のフロアスペースにちょうどおけるくらいのサイズなのでほんと出し入れが楽です。
Tumi 61L
海外に1週間弱行く時に買ったミドルサイズ的なスーツケース。僕のはエクスパンダブルじゃないかもですがこんな感じのポリカーボネート製のやつです。
これはそうそう出番はないのですが、後に紹介する大型スーツケースの補助として凄く便利に使えています。これ単品でも暑い国なら1週間はいけますし、出し入れにそんなに邪魔になる感じでもないですし。
海外だと空港からUberなりレンタカーなりに積むタイミングがあるのですが、このサイズだと「乗らない！ドア締まらない！」ということはまずないです。
登場回数は少ないもののここぞという時に活躍してくれる指名打者のようなサイズがこのあたりかなぁ、と思います。
あ、持込はできませんのでそこは割切って。

最初に買ったスーツケースがこれかも知れません。
サイズがデカイのはこれより上もあるのですが、一定サイズ以上になると持ち運びに難が出てきます。
出発時のバゲッジクレームの秤に乗せるあたりから既にきつかったり・・・ｗ
あとあまりでかいと帰りの便で重量オーバーのリスクもあるかなぁ・・。
これは本腰入れた旅行でのメインスーツケース。代わりに使わないときはホント家の床面積を無駄に取る物体になります。このサイズになってくるとトローリーあたりは収納時に中に格納できるのでちょっとだけスペース効率いいかも・・・？
ある程度の頻度旅行に行くようであれば、35、60、80くらいサイズがあると保管場所はさておき結構便利だと思います。買う順番としては大小中、というところでしょうか。
