車検に車を出す時に「自動車税納税証明書」、いわゆる納税証明書が必要なくなったそうです。が、払ったかどうかが不安・・・というときは電話しましょう。

自動車税納税証明書が無い!?そういう時は電話で確認できます。
最近納税証明書はオンラインで確認可能なので車検の添付は不要になったそうです。
車検で車を整備工場に出しました。車検に必要な書類は車検証、自賠責保険証と・・自動車税納税証明書・・・あ、忘れた！
と思ったら「今は必要ないですよ」と工場の人に言われました。
オンラインで確認できるようになったそうです。
が、次に不安になるのが・・・あれ？ちゃんと払ったっけ・・・？ということ。
マネーフォワードで確認してみましたが痕跡がない・・・？カードで払った記憶もあるのですが、それっぽいのは都税としか書いてなくて・・・。
もし未納付の場合は車検場で払える、ということですが、それって結局車検から車が帰ってくるのが遅れたりする、ってこと？と思うとかなり不安になりました。
自動車税納付は毎年5月
家に帰って自動車税納税証明書をゴソゴソと探してみました。すると・・・普通にありました。が、払込用の紙があるだけで、払ったかどうかは分からない。
銀行口座引き落としにしているはずですが、そうすると本来納税証明書が何らかの形で手元に残るはずですが、それはなくって支払用の紙だけ・・・。
もちろん納付済みの証明になる日付印はありません。
これで車検場で「払ってません」という話になるとややこしいなぁ・・・、と思って、払込の紙に書いてあるコールセンターに電話しました。
こちらの番号ですね。東京都は03(3525)4066でした。
自動車税納付コールセンターの対応
コールセンターに電話するとすぐに繋がりました。そこで「自動車税が納付済みかどうかを確認したい」という説明をすると、対象になる車のナンバーと名前を聞かれます。
それに答えると「ご指定の自動車は納税証明書を発行可能です」という回答。
あ、聞きたいのは納付済みになっているかどうかなんですよ、というと「納付済みかどうかは個人情報に関わってくるのでお答えできませんが、納税証明書が発行可能ということはそういうことだとお考えいただければ」という・・・あぁ、そういうことか、なるほどね、という回答をもらえました。
一応ナンバーと名前は伝えていますが、「納税をしている・していない」という個人情報保護の観点で本人確認をしようとなると、もっと複雑な確認をしなければならないので、こういう感じの回答になるんでしょうね。確かにナンバーと名前だけであれば納付書にも書いている内容ですし、住所なども記載があるので本人確認はなかなか困難です。
けど要は結論「自動車税を納税しているかどうかはコールセンターに電話して名前とナンバーを言えばわかる」というなかなかスマートなシステムだ、ということでした。
車のナンバーはどうせ空港駐車場の予約などでも必要だったりするので、この際覚えてしまいましょう。
