新Search ConsoleでFetch As Google(インデックス登録リクエスト)をする方法
Googleは4月に新しいSearch Consoleに完全に移行したようです。
以前の「Webmasterツール」、旧Search Consoleはしばらく部分的に使えていましたが、ついに重要な機能の1つである「Fetch as Google」、インデックス登録のために指定したURLを読み込ませる機能が無くなりました。
という事は・・・これから新しいサイトやページをGoogleインデックスに登録するにはどうやってやればいいの？となりますよね。
新しいSearch ConsoleにもFetch As Google的な機能は追加されています。
サイトマップとURL検査
元々Googleはロボット、googlebotにリンクを辿らせてインデックスを追加してきました。サイトの量が膨大になったことでインデックス登録をやりやすく各サイトにまとめたのがサイトマップ、という考え方です。
こちらは旧Webmasterツールと同様、サイトマップの登録をするメニューがあるのでこちらでサイトマップのURLを登録すればいずれgooglebotが読み込みに来てくれます。
とはいえ・・・いかんせん・・・読み込みが遅い！
ということで、できるだけ早く読み込ませたい場合は、新Search Consoleの左メニューにある「URL検査」を使います。
Search ConsoleのURL検査での追加
Google Search Consoleの左メニューを見ると上から3つ目くらいに「URL検査」があります。これを選択。
するとヘッダの検索フィールドがハイライトされるのでここにGoogleにインデックス登録したいURLをペーストします。この例ではAMPの警告があったページを読み込ませるためAMPページのURLを入力しています。
入力するとしばらくグルグル回ります。入力したURLがインデックス登録されているかのチェックです。
インデックス登録がまだのURLの場合は以下のような表示になります。「URLがGoogleに登録されていません」という内容がグレーベースで表示されます。この場合は対象URLがGoogleインデックスに未登録という事になります。
1つ目のブロックの右下「インデックス登録をリクエスト」をクリックすると登録スタートします。
またグルグルグルグル・・・。
そして「インデックス登録をリクエスト済み」ダイアログが出て完了です。
ここに記載のある「URLを優先クロールキューに追加しました。」というのが以前のFetch As Googleと同様のインデックス登録キューと思われます。
既存ページの再読み込みにも使えるURL検査
この「URL検査」は既存ページの再読み込みにも使えるようになっています。ページの内容を変更して早くGoogleに読み込ませたい時や、AMPやモバイルユーザビリティなどでエラーや警告の修正を読ませたい時などに使います。
こちらが警告があったAMPページを読み込ませたときの表示です。こういった場合はすぐに「インデックス登録をリクエスト」せずに（キャプチャがないですが）メニュー右上にある「公開URLをテスト」をタップして、修正内容が適正かどうかを事前にチェックすることもできます。
まぁなんにせよグルグル回るのはいつものことですが・・・。
実際どれくらいでインデックス登録されるのか
このURL検査を使うとどれくらいでインデックス登録されるのか、というのが一番気になる所ですが・・・これは正直何とも言えないです。インデックス登録される事がそのまま検索結果、SERPに出る、という話ではないのと、作ったばかりのサイトの場合、インデックス登録されていても検索キーワードで超下位で結局出ない、という事もあるからです。
ただ先日ちょっとしたイベントの時にちょうどいいタイミングでこのURL検査でとあるサイトのURLを追加しましたが、それまで全くトラフィックが無かったサイトがURL検査からの登録を機にまぁまぁトラフィックが付くようになってきた、という体験はあります。
ですがこのサイト、それ以前から1年くらい寝かしていたのと、インデックス登録リクエスト以外にもトラフィック誘導的な施策はしたので、そのうちどのくらいがURL検査リクエストから引き起こされたかがちょっと切り分けづらいんですねぇ・・・。
とはいえ今も微量ながら検索トラフィックが来ている状況ではあるので、一応インデックス登録を速めたことが有効だったのかな、と思ってはいます。
