大容量サドルバッグについて

大容量サドルバッグで大事なこと
ロードバイクは当然荷物は積めないので必要に応じてサドルバッグを付けることになります。とはいえあまり道で走っていてつけてる人を見たことはないのですが・・・僕はつけっぱなしです。
サドルバッグは小型のものもあれば10リットルくらいの大容量のものもあって、人によってそれぞれ選択していると思いますが、僕が付けているのは10リットルの大容量型です。中には大体以下のようなものを入れています。
- ツールボトル
- 小型ポンプ
- タイヤレバー
- 交換用チューブ
- CO2ボンベ
- パッチ
- 輪行袋
- ウィンドブレーカー（雨具兼用）
- シューズカバー（雨用）
- 反射ベスト
- クリートカバー
- レンチツール
- パッカブルのバックパック
基本的には雨やパンクなどの対応に必要なものばかりです。これまで使うタイミングは全くなかったのですが、もし万が一の事を考えると・・・重量増でもつけておきたいかなぁ、と。それなりにかさばるので小ぶりなサドルバッグでは無理で、Aliexpressで買った安いサドルバッグを付けています。
これですね。aliexpressだと2千円台前半だった気がしますが、待つ時間考えるとAmazonで買っても良かったかなぁ？
大容量サドルバッグのポイント
大容量サドルバッグで気になるのは、ダンシングの時などのバッグの左右の振れだと思います。この振れの大小はサドルバッグの容量もそうですが、バッグそのものの作りも関係してきます。
サドルバッグは名前の通り、サドルレールとシートポストに固定するのですが、特にサドルレールの固定ストラップの作りでどれくらい強固に固定されるかが決まります。具体的にはストラップをどれくらい締め上げられるか、ですね。
シートポスト側も固定するのですが、縦の部品に横向きのストラップで固定する形のため、どうしても固定場所が上下に動きがちです。そこを動かなくするくらいレールでくっつけられると左右や上下の振りが抑制されます。
シートバッグスタビライザーについて
ややこしいことを考えずにミノウラから出ているシートバッグスタビライザーをシートレールに取り付ける、というのも振れの抑制効果はあります。こんなやつです。
これは左右にドリンクホルダーも付くので便利といえば便利。ただ・・・輪行の時だけがネック。輪行の時にはサドルの後ろ部分が接地するのでこのスタビライザーを付けたままだとアンバランスになったり、輪行袋を破損したりしそう・・・とはいえ毎回外すのはちょっと大変そうです。輪行しない人はこれでいいと思います。
実際のサドルバッグ取り付け状態
いろいろ試行錯誤しながら取り付けているサドルバッグはこういう状態です。
横から見たところ。サドルレールのストラップはかなりギチギチに締めています。また、締めすぎると中折れして後ろが垂れ下がる元なので、中に入れるものをなるべく縦方向に入れるように工夫しています。
上から見たところがこれ。このサドルバッグで1つすごく良かったのが、クロージャーを引っ張る左右のストラップの雄雌が同じになっていることです。そうすると、左右のストラップをクロスさせて後ろが垂れ下がりにくい形で固定する事ができます。
逆にクロージャー部分で雄雌対応させて手提げにできるようになっている（左右のストラップの雄雌が逆）サドルバッグはこれができないので上に引っ張り上げられません。一時期Timbuk2のサドルバッグを使っていたのですが、これがそのタイプで結局中折れすると後部がリアタイヤに干渉してしまい使えなくなりました。
Timbuk2はメッセンジャーバッグもいくつか持ってるのでこちらを使いたかったのですが・・・無理でした。残念。
R250のサドルバッグはレールのストラップを下部で面で受ける形になっているので、この▼部分が想定通りの働きであれば、中折れしがちなところを面で支えられそうですね。その先の部分はなかなか折れない場所なので使い勝手はよさそうです。
