既に日本に26店舗あるコストコですが、店舗で使えるクレジットカードが従来のアメックスからマスターカードに変わります。手持ちにマスターが無かったので新規に取得することにしました。

コストコで利用可能なカードがアメックスからマスターに
行けば行ったで面白いコストコなんですが、カートがアメリカンサイズで「さぁいっぱい買えよ！」という感じの割にはカード決済が面倒くさいのが玉にキズ、ですね。
日本はまだ現金決済が主流なのでそんなに不満じゃないのかな・・・・？とも思いますが、やっぱり不便。
これまでコストコはアメリカン・エキスプレスと提携していたので、主要国際ブランドのビザ・マスター・アメックス・ダイナース・JCBの中で唯一アメックスだけが使える、という不便な状態でした。それが、オリエントと新たに提携するということで来年からマスターカードに切り替わってしまいます。

利用会員としての読みどころはこの辺でしょうか。
今回の提携により、オリコはコストコ提携カードの発行会社となり、2018 年 2 月 1日よりアメリカン・エキスプレスのカードに替わり、Mastercard のカードがコストコで使用可能な国際ブランドのクレジットカードとなります。
なお、コストコでは 2018 年 1 月 31 日までアメリカン・エキスプレスのカードのご利用が可能です。
そう、これまでのアメックスのみのカード決済が、一気に来年２月からマスターカードに切り替わります。
残念ながら手元のカードにはマスターカードがありません。JCBだけとか、アメックスだけとかはありますが、マスターだけ、というのは初めてなので盲点でした。
VISAとMaster、いわゆるビザマスはオールマイティだと思っていましたが、今回ばかりは・・・。ということで色々探した結果・・・お？Amazonよく使ってる割にAmazonカード作ってなかった！という事を思い出しました。
AmazonのMaster Card
おあつらえ向きにAmazonが出しているのは「Amazon Mastercard（アマゾンマスターカード）」。
それもどうやら引き受けてるのは三井住友カード・・・VISAじゃんｗ
実はメインのカードは三井住友VISAカードなので、そのクレヒス（支払履歴）が吉と出るか凶と出るか・・・・ｗ

通常のAmazon MasterCardクラシックとゴールドの2つがあって、比較するとこんな感じです。

面白いのは、ゴールドカードの年会費を三井住友カードの「マイ・ペイすリボ」という仕組みやカード明細をWeb明細に切り替えることで2年目は実質4,320円に圧縮できますよ、と記載があるところ。三井住友カード的にはこのリボルビング払いの申込獲得できるなら年会費はいいや、という感じなんでしょうか。
そうやって実質4千円ちょっと、まで年会費を落とせると、付帯するAmazonプライムの年会費と変わらないので実質年会費無料的な感じですね。けど入会特典ないのは痛いなぁ・・・。Amazon利用でのポイントバックは0.5%しか違いがないし、とりあえずクラシックかなぁ・・・と思っています。
追記：Amazon MasterCard クラシック申し込んでみました
すごいですね・・・このあと申し込んでみたのですが、全てオンラインで完結しました。
オンラインで即日発行のためか、限度額は3万円・・・！低っ！メインの三井住友VISAカードからすると誤差みたいな数値でしたｗ
あと、免許証の記載があったのでてっきり写真アップロードかな、と思ったら、免許証の番号を入力するだけ、という変わったフロー。
そこから銀行側の認証があったりえっちらおっちらこなしていくと上のような画面になって・・・完了。
Amazonのアカウントの支払いも既に番号発番されたAmazon MasterCardに切り替わってました。これはすごい！
再追記：カードはAmamzonテンポラリーカード、という仮カードみたいです。メールに記載がありました。
