10日で終わった理由はコレ？PayPayのカード不正利用
もともと来年3月までのキャンペーン期間だったのが、あっという間に盛り上がって還元分の予算100億円を10日で使い切ったPayPay。

高額家電がPayPayで買えるビックカメラなどにも長蛇の列が出来たのは記憶に新しい所です。10日で100億、ということは1日10億円、20%還元で考えると50億円の利用があったというPayPayキャンペーンが収束した後に思わぬ事態が・・・。
カード番号テストが簡単に出来た？PayPayのクレジットカード登録
このPayPayのアプリ利用の際、決済するクレジットカードを登録するのですが、このカード登録が番号が間違えていても何度でも入力出来た仕様だったことから、どうやら不正に入手したクレジットカード番号を片っ端からテストして不正利用したケースがあるようです。
PayPayがクレジットカード不正利用に悪用されている件、世界中を揺るがす大問題かもな

×paypayからクレカ情報が漏れて不正利用されている
○よそから漏れたクレカ情報がpaypayに登録されて不正利用されているなので、自分はpaypayなんてやってないから関係ないやー良かったーって思ってる人、クレカ持ってるなら要注意ですよ。

ぱっと見ると「PayPay利用者のカード情報が不正利用」と思えるところですが、実はそうではなくて、過去に流出したクレジットカード情報をPayPayを通じて勝手に不正利用した、という話のようです。
つまり全てのクレジットカードで不正利用された可能性がある、という話。

犯罪者的にメリットしかない
・カードの番号名前有効期限だけでいい（実物がなくていい）
・paypayは100億円キャンペーン中でクレジットカード会社は不正だと思わない≒止められない

うちだって36万円不正利用されたんだから、paypayすぐに100億円いくでしょう。

paypay 経由でカード80万円不正利用されちゃいました。カード会社からの連絡はなく、マネーフォワードに上がってきて気づいた。

paypay、有効期限とセキュリティコードを何度も数字変えて間違ってもロックなんて掛からんな。「クレジットカードの登録に失敗しました」がその度に出るだけ。これ総当たりで登録したので確定でいいと思う。

つまりクレジットカードを持っている人はみんな今すぐ利用明細をチェックしたほうがいい、ということですね。クレジットカードの枚数をいっぱい持っている人や、明細が郵送のみの人は結構大変ですね・・・。
こういう時のために家計の情報はオンラインで集中管理したほうが良さそう。僕はMoneyForwardで全部管理しているので1つ1つクレジットカードのサイトを回らなくても大丈夫でした。
さらに気になるのは、今回のカード問題で色々な決済システムを試し始めたようで、ヨドバシカメラがこんなふうになってるとか・・。
