すごく間が空いてしまいました。その間にいろんな事がありましたが一番大きな事はメインの自転車をCannondale CAAD13に乗り換えたこと。

Cannondale CAAD13に乗り換えました。

Tern Link N8をブルホーン化したりしながらずっとTern Surgeに乗っていましたが、思うところがあってメインの自転車をCannondale CAAD13に乗り換えました。CAAD13はこんなやつです。

これはちょうど購入した翌日とかに高尾山口駅まで行ったときだと思います。そう、ミニベロロードのTern Surgeから一般的なサイズ、700CのロードバイクのCannondale CAAD 13に乗り換えたわけです。

ミニベロロードから700Cのロードバイクへ

ずっとTern Surgeに乗ってあちこち行ってきましたが、その中で気になっていたのが速度。トップスピードではなく巡航速度をもう少しあげられないかな、と思っていました。巡航速度が上がればその分早く帰ってこれるか、遠くまで行けるので・・・。

その中で700Cサイズのロードバイクへの乗り換え、というのが出てきました。各メーカーから色々なロードバイクが出ていますが、フレームがアルミのものに限ればそこそこいいモデルが20万以内で手に入りそう、というのも1つの理由です。

最初はネット通販で見つけたメリダのスクルトゥーラ700、というモデルが評判が良いのでそれにしようと思っていたのですが、あれよあれよという間に合うサイズがなくなって、諦め半分のときにたまたまリアル店舗でCannondale CAAD 13のシェルパ（このピンクです）のサイズ在庫があるのを知って、そこで買いました。

ロードバイクは今リムブレーキからディスクブレーキへの移行時期のど真ん中で、その関係かCAAD 13のリムモデルの定価が18万から15万中盤に切り下がっていたのも追い風でした。結局そのお店に行って購入したのですが、当たり前のようにフィッティングをしてくれて、結果的にすごく乗りやすい、取り回しやすい形にしてくれたのがありがたかったです。

フィッティングについて

ネット通販だとフィッティングは自分でやることになりますが、フィッティング用のフレームであちこち測ってもらってセッティングを出してもらう、というのは体験した限り自分ではなかなか難しそうです。実際に出してもらったセッティングはサドルは自分の間隔より数センチ高め、ハンドルバーも思った以上に遠目で低めでした。

乗り換えた頃はちょっと乗りづらさも感じていましたが、最近この姿勢で漕ぎ続ける分には背中が痛くなったりしない事に気づいてきました。やはりプロは違うなぁ・・・。

Tern Surgeではステムを30mm伸ばしたりしていましたが、実際のセッティングはそれよりも更に遠めで低め。Tern Surgeはサイズ52、CAAD 13はサイズ54なのでフレームサイズも違うのですが、ちゃんとセッティングするとこれくらいになるんだなぁ、というのが所感です。

CAAD 13のカスタマイズ

ちゃんとセッティングしてもらったので特に大きなカスタマイズはしていないのですが、先日ホイールだけ変えました。カンパニョーロのゾンダC17というホイールで、デフォルトでついていたフルクラムのレーシング900と大体300グラム差でした。CAAD 13はカタログスペックで8.3キロなのでホイール交換で8キロジャストかそれ以下の7キロ台くらい、というなかなかの軽量バイクになったわけです。

これが最近行った道の駅しょうなんでのCAAD 13。ホイールが変わってるのは分かりづらいですね。今は大体この状態で乗っています。サドルバッグをたまたま見つけたTimbuk2の赤いのに変えていたり、サドルバックスタビライザー＋ボトルケージ2個追加でケージが合計4つになっていたり、ハンドルバーにGoProステーがついてたり、と、快適走行的な装備を追加しています。

ちなみにこのCAAD 13、ダウンチューブ（ハンドルとペダル部分の間のフレーム部分）にメーカー名が入っておらずストライプ2本だけで、cannondaleのロゴはトップチューブに小さく書かれているだけ、というロードバイクでは珍しいデザインです。気に入ったのもこの焼き鮭色（シェルパカラー）と謎のデザインでした。こう、ガシガシ走るイメージじゃない、というか。
